About

We are a nondenominational, Holy Spirit-filled and led Pentecostal church with almost 70 years of history and blessings of the Lord. We are diligently seeking God's will and continuing direction. We believe in being led by God’s spirit in our worship services and allowing that to minister to an individual’s needs.

Our Fellowship

Though our church is nondenominational, we are not independent. We are part of a group of people who God has joined together by reason of revelation for a common purpose – to proclaim His gospel, receive His restored truth, preach His overcoming message, and assist people in receiving all that He has made available to those that love and serve Him.

We are not held together by anything legal of this earth, but by a bond of love and commitment for a cause greater than ourselves.

It is this commitment that causes us to seek opportunities and ways to fellowship. Just as the early church we read of in the New Testament was bound together through a love and commitment to their sister assemblies, our church is also seeking to be bound together through these same commitments.

Together we are seeking God's perfect timing and will for His Gentile work in these last days.

Our Journey

In 1944, Rev. Eugene V. Snider and his congregation purchased The Gospel Church, located at 18th and Wabash in Vincennes, Indiana. The congregation remodeled the building and held church at that location until 1948.

In 1957, we were two existing churches – one in Terre Haute and one in Vincennes. The Lord began dealing with Brother Snider to join the two assemblies. Brother Snider searched the city of Terre Haute for an existing church building. He decided on a little church and parsonage at the corner of 12th and Eagle Streets.

12TH & EAGLE

It was there on October 2, 1957 that the first church service was held in the city of Terre Haute, uniting the Vincennes and Terre Haute assemblies.

Approximately 100 people relocated from Vincennes to Terre Haute. Over the next ten years, the church outgrew the 12th and Eagle location, so the search began for a larger church building.

The Montrose Methodist Church, located at 17th & College Streets, was purchased and accommodated the approximately 120 people who regularly attended each service.

17TH & COLLEGE

After worshipping at 17th & College for almost 24 years, the church building was put up for sale. The church had previously purchased the nineteen acres on Springhill Drive, the perfect location to build a new church.

Shortly after this Brother Snider was transferred to Birmingham, Alabama.  Brother Coy found a church building on Wallace Avenue to rent, serving as a temporary location while the men all worked together to build a new church building, located at 401 W Springhill Drive.

SPRINGHILL

On June 13, 1992, we had our first service in this new building. And here we have remained!
