Our Pastor

Pastor Workman and his wife, Sister Andrea Workman, are passionate about preaching the Gospel and leading the congregation in faith, truth and love.
                

In March 2024, we were told we were having a visiting minister and his wife. We didn't know who was coming because it was a secret. When Brother Jeff Workman and Sister Andrea Workman walked in we still didn't have a clue of what was about to happen. Our pastor at that time, Brother Dycus, spoke as though it was just a regular service. At the end of the service, he surprised us with the announcement that Brother and Sister Workman would be moving here soon and the preparation started for their arrival to Higher Ground (Terre Haute).

They came to us from Anna, Illinois where they pastored for nine years. Brother Workman is from Indianapolis Gospel Assembly, so we all knew him well. He had held ten positions in that church.

Sister Workman worked faithfully by his side in Anna and added her talent of creating beautiful flower arrangements and we are sure much more. Sis Workman shared that she felt she was being prepared for her life as a pastor's wife before she ever knew Brother Workman. While working in a funeral home and caring for people in the most difficult time of their lives, she realized her deep care for people. She now realizes that was a stepping stone for her as a pastor's wife.

Brother and Sister Workman live in the parsonage right next to the church. They are close to their Indianapolis and Plainfield families. And they just think we are the best flock ever.
